Untold Stories 46: Stealing is a Crime???

Ohhh, its feels so good to be back on writing, Happy New Year Everyone, So lets get the words Rolling 🙂..

One of the principle lesson taught at schools and as well as home that ‘Stealing is Bad’. And whenever the terms law and rules were explained to us when we were very very small, somewhere the sentence rings the bell “Stealing is a Crime”
More we grew up with the sentence more we tend to believe its true, more we learn more we tend to accept it as a moral. Even I did the same, I did followed the principle and hated the steals or robbers considering them bad people until and unless I was put in their shoes.

I think this is not the usual way I start the stories, but let me to take you to wonderland, Long Long ago, before all the merchandise came, water was free. Food grew on plants, trees and other food kept running on ground (for all non veg lovers 🙂 ). Goods and commodities were created or extracted by individuals form nature and exchanged with appreciation. We the humans were called wanderers, gathers and pre-form of Society. When Society formed every person or group found a way to look down on others, to protect their belongings, and expertise in one skill and serve others. Even at that time Skills of individuals were appreciated. By words or Gifts the Services were exchanged. And to create the concept of equal exchange, the Concept of MONEY was introduced. And here we are today in a world that creator of Money, we humans now bow down to it.

Still both the above paras are confusing?
I think person story will be more beneficial. So the story goes

All my childhood, I followed the principle of Personalization, My school friends might have faced my wrath even when they try to touch my belonging without my permission. Even when I was in College I believed the concept of me, mine and sometimes only mine. I don’t take other’s belongings and so dose others should follow. Not going to the place I am not invited in was the basic manners I followed. Until I met bunch of Idiots and named our group “Stifflers”. Just for a change in groups we did all the things which was against the mannerism which I was taught. And I kinda enjoyed it. Going for places where even I was not Invited in was explained by a simple sentence, “IF you are BORN on this PLANET, You are INVITED my Friend”

Stealing is Crime, But “whats created by NATURE belongs to NO-ONE.” and what belongs to No-one Belongs to EVERYONE. Thus in a fun way I was somewhere in-between the line of sanity and mischief. In group it was all a different cause and different believe system. But when It came to individual surviving in future, that was the point where my actual decision making will be involved. In next years after my graduation, I came to Australia to pursue Post-graduation. 1st Semester was luxurious but as the time passed, The Money I earned by Job was not sufficient to hold my stay in Australian living. Asking money form home was not an option as Conversion form Rupee to Dollar left nothing on my hand. It was days where I had to re-think, Is stealing a crime???.
The Day became bad financially and time came, where I use to steal a Glass of milk form my housemates, (if you reading this, sorry guys) and Sometimes eat what ever was left by the Guest Checkouts at the hotel I was working as Housekeeper. Morally I was broken down as I couldn’t maintained the principles which I was been practicing for all my life before. Either I was doing wrong by stealing food for survival or there is something wrong in the system.
The food which was free in past, is now commercially grown and thus we have to pay for it. The water which was free in rivers now have a price of Minimum 3$ in a bottle. Even the money what we created and on top of that we claim to earn is Taxed for the benefit for all. I know you all in head have possible logical educated answers to my sentences, but then I urge to ask you again to re-think and re-evaluate is Stealing is Really a CRIME?

Currently I am part of system and wind of bad days is turned over, I again earning enough to have a luxurious life and have lust of earning more and more. But still couldn’t stand a hungry person in front of me, and still couldn’t bare a though that Somewhere in this planet, there is a student just like me, struggling to earn hard, struggling for his bread, and when in bad times have been thinking to move his hand looking left and right that no one watches him/her taking the food. And in his mind Deciding, “IS STEALING IS A CRIME????”

Have a thought & Enjoy your week ahead smile emoticon

Untold Stories 45: Can We FIX it??? YES we CAN !!!!!

World is not a perfect place, It never was and it may never will be.

May be the first line is a pessimist in me speaking but sometimes I take my time to even listen to the pessimistic side of me, as i don’t want to neglect any side of my inner voice.

Working as Security Officer takes me various places. And many a times to places where I have all the time in the world to observe minute things happening around me and to think and re-think on the prospects of how this day is being useful to me or what I can learn form here. Then at some hours I recalculate or filter the thoughts into main categories, One which are Important to me and Second Which are not.

Recently I have been allotted construction sites where I have a chance to observe and sometimes interact with Construction Workers.
Each construction workers has special or unique skills which all over make the team workable. And the jokes followed throughout the day are uncontrollably awesome that makes my day to continue going on site. Ya sometimes swearing also takes place but these guys have an awesome attitude that reduces the work load stress and all are back to work.

This story happened just a day ago. As per the last plan they had, all construction workers fixed tiles and Fire Extinguisher as explained to them. After the work was done, the head contractor came and observed that the wiring which was suppose to be beneath the tiles has been done not according to plan and even Fire Extinguisher has been mounted on the wrong side of door (the opposite of what is planed now is the right side explained by operation planner – as I don’t have knowledge about left or right or which side is correct to keep fire extinguisher, I wont publish the correct side and let the Contractor decide)
But the mistakes involved can be only be fixed now by completely undo the construction these guys were doing form past 3 days. That involves removing the tiles and cutting a whole segment of wall to refit the fire extinguisher on the other side. By this insistence I was reminded by the kids show me and my sis use to watch in childhood. Or actually speaking I was forced to watch as we had only one color TV in our house that time which played all channels and thus we got to take chances and watch shows. Thus by force or choice I had experience of watching the kids show BOB THE BUILDER and this dialogue was always repeated on the show “Can we Fix it?” to which the reply came “YES WE CAN”
The construction workers used some kinda adult version of this dialogue. “Can we Fu***ng Fix It?” To which the Construction workers replied, “Yes we are getting paid more to do this job again, thus Yes We Can.” Probably in next two days they will fix the issue. As I am not assigned my next shift there so I wont be able to watch the reaming construction.
Point to note here is Instead of getting more angry, instead of being sad about the happenings around. The construction workers decided to work on the problems again and try to fix the issue as per new plan.

Probably life is similar, lot of problems, lot of ups and downs and the world is the same. Then it comes back to my inner voice, “The World is not an Perfect place, it never was and may be it never will be” to which I say out a loud, Who needs a perfect world. Its all about my attitude towards the world, I just have to plan for the day and the day ahead. And Say

CAN I FIX IT??……Haha ha you know the rest.

Cheers everyone, Have a Good Day Ahead

Untold Stories 44: Quality vs. Being First

Most of the Comparative examples are Quality vs. Quantity, but let me re-define the trend is changed now. It’s mostly Quality vs. Being First.

To make any product efficient, proper or in the well known terms Qualitative it consumes time. And we all know by your own experiences of calculation that Time is MONEY in many senses. Whereas Quantitative progression also consumes time but finds its easy economical ways to reach out to individuals.

One of the races me and my friends have is to either experience the quality, standard of life or be there first to experience making some compromises. I hate the word Compromise at it lead to no choice but learning more from life I realize we can also take advantages if we choose the right Compromise. More reading about life of Steve Jobs and his Competitors I learned that THE ART of COMPROMISE is a thing lacked by Steve which took him to heights and also falls of his journey. So best outcome is to learn the art of Compromise and CHOOSE to take it or not.

Above two paragraph might be somewhat overhead material for the readers thus I will simplify it in a form of Story.

Me and My sister always had a competition of watching Movies First. Let that be first day first show release on the nearest theater or the first telecast of premiere of any show. We had competition of grabbing it first and then blabbering to world about it that we have actually experience it.

This competition became more and more interesting when we starting living separate, when I was doing my engineering and she her schooling. Me spending my time at rented houses, or in a different state during my college – post college life and she living with parents. Both had pros and cons to access the movies and shows. When my friend Bhratlal joined me in most of my adventure to watch movies his choice was always to go for Quality. High Definition Prints of movies or preferably watching on Big Screen.
The taste of quality was drowning me which in overall time can be calculated as going towards betterment. But the race with my sister was still on. The race became intense when we both got crazily attracted towards an Animated Series called “NARUTO”, the drawback was its first release was on Japan and it released in India or other countries probably after 6 months. This clause made us both lag behind all the people who already saw the movie in Japan. And as social media connects worldwide now, thus our mates at Japan spreading word about the experience of movie series Naruto six months ahead of us definitely made us jealous. Lagging behind was not an option. Thus the solution was PIRACY which gave us the option of Being FIRST again or at least know what the world is talking about after experiencing the movie.

Definitely PIRACY is illegal but if a movie due to its quality or distribution fails to reach us, its their lack that the customers demand is not fulfilled by the Producers or distributors. If Naruto was Released in India, I am sure of all Naruto Fans, Me and My sis were the first to book and PAY for the Premiere of the movie. But that time Piracy was the only option.
Thus the right compromise still made us won the completion of watching the movies first. When I reached Australia, I first won the race to watch Naruto Part 10 watching it on theater paying 16$ at event cinemas. I won with both Quality and Being First as Naruto copyrights were very strict about piracy but in latest release Naruto Part 11, she again won as the print was leaked for few days. The race is still on….
Overall today here in Australia Watching a Hindi Movie is a difficult task as all movies don’t have world wide release and thus Piracy is again gives the best option to me to BE THE FIRST again.
Today most of world raising voice against PIRACY must also raise voice to good Distribution of movies. MOVIES and SHOWS at your desktop, on your laptop on your mobile device on the Day of its RELEASE.
As the race is not Quality vs Quantity

IT’S NOW THE RACE OF QUALITY VS BEING FIRST…..

Happy Day Guys

Have a Good Week Ahead 🙂

Untold Stories 43 : The Birbal’s Trap

Form a long time I wanted to post this story, but these days, I am kinda very very buzy.

The readers of Akhbar-Birbal Tales should have the overall idea that Akhbar was a king during the ancient times when Kings use to rule India, and Birbal was a wise man on his team.

Once Akhbar wanted to do some work from his neighboring kingdoms thus he invited kings of all nearby nation for a supper to his place. All the Kings agreed to the plan proposed by Akhbar except but one. King Akbhar wanted the full support of all and thus he wanted the one king opposing this plan also to be part of the plan. To convince the person who opposed, Akbhar requested Birbal to take care of the matter. Birbal spent some days with the other king and then observed his enthusiasm and eagerness to learn over all things what this person did on his daily life. Finally one day opposed king observed a Camel out of his window, he has never seen a camel in his kingdom and hence asked Birbal, “Why the Camel has a hunch on his back?”

Birbal thought this is the right moment to take chance and try one of his ideas of the wisdom he always uses. He told the opposed king, “This is Camel of the Desert, long time ago he was a natural looking animal looking very beautiful creature on this planet, but one day King Akbhar wanted to do some work and the Camel opposed him and thus as a punishment, King with his magical power gave him a Hunch Back. Since that time the Camel and all his generations has a Hunch on his back.”

The opposed king got scared by story, as even that time he was the only one who raised voice against king and did not support his plan. Any person with even little knowledge of Animal Kingdom can know that Camel’s hunch back has nothing to do with King Akbhar. But Ignorance of the opposed king got him into the TRAP. And that was one of the trap which became successful. The opposed king next day submitted his approval and the King was able to execute his plan with full support from the entire neighboring kings.

When I heard this story first time form my Maternal Grandfather, I laughed out a hard that how stupid a King can be who does not know about the Camel. But one must know Ignorance and lack of experience is not a crime but is definitely non advantageous. Years after this when I came to Australia, I had some good and some cunning friends. But I was ignorant that who is who.
One day when I was walking among the streets of Boundary Street, I asked one of my ex-good friend Ali, looking at some semi autistics retards on street that “why these guys are behaving like this ?” Ali might be pulling my leg and having known of my past habits gave me a story, “Initially these guys were good and supporter of the rich heritage of Australia, but smoking and having weed over time made them retards like this, and now these guys even cannot speak properly.”

I having no knowledge about ill effects of weed, believed in the story and imagined that due to my habbits during university life, even my future will be like in time I will lose my sense of judgment and will not be able to speak properly. Slowly I started losing my self confidence and then started taking every decision only after asking Ali or only after waiting for Ali’s approval. I never thought in childhood that even I can fall for a BIRBAL’s TRAP.

Concluding my story, yes Weed has its ill effects but you won’t become complete Retard by consuming weed. And having less information and not consultation of other sources can definitely lead you to take decisions which may be beneficial for others and sometimes harmful for yourself.

So I would say, gather as much of general information as much as you can, don’t depend on only one source as you may never know, who is the Birbal standing just near you!!!! 😉

Have a Great Week Ahead 🙂

Untold Stories 41: The USEFUL PAGE

Every Era there will be a new pattern of education system. Several years ago started with writing on stone walls, then carried on with writing on leaves, then followed by writing on paper
which is still used, and now the era of using Character user interface or modernly Graphical user inter phase i.e E-Books.
I Tapish Dongre have taken birth somewhere between the era of paper and e-paper. But in my Class Xth I can say due to very less access of Computers, Paper system was the most prominent one.
As Most of My primary education was in India, and particularly Southern Part of India, The local Education pattern had a major impact on me. Though we were in Co-Ed, but the mentality was
just as if we are studying in Boys/Girls schools separately. I remember after school hours, when I use to take a bicycle ride to Ravi Kiran’s house, though one of batch mate was living
just above his house, was seldom use to get along, not because she dint want to…but as the society dint allow to.
Now I hope situations have been differed. And Pairs of Girlfriend and Boyfriend starts long before students enter in Class Xth, but the strong routes of Cultural Restriction are deep down spread along.

One of the Most followed practice was to Respect the Paper.
Locals believed that the paper is form of God, Then Books can be intreperated as GOD. The thin line giving the connection is that: Education is coming out of books and thus
Books are the representation of “Sarasawati Goddes”.The Goddess of education and Knowledge.

Thus having these concepts we use to think that countries outside India must be very bad as they use the Goddess to wipe out their Morning Raga. Having these thought, During my Class Xth (year 2005),
it was very common to go to “TUITION” which are private coaching or guidance after the School Hours. As Education drives money, thus lots and lots of housewife, employs of the surrounding,
and Retired persons started their own Education Classes at their home. Its was just like and Extra income for them that Every evening, when schools are over, and even they finish
the jobs, spend time with 20 to 50 students and teach them one subject and take a small amount form them as education fees.

As there were many tuition teachers it was difficult to choose which one to get admission to. One which is close to house or one which can get you high marks or the one which don’t
be a high investment on parents pocket.

I use to hate the Tuition system as it killed the time for Playing, or Watching TV. But still the subjects you are week into, or the peer pressure, pushes you to finding a personal
tutor and join the institution.

Soon after a new fad came to existence called, “AFTER TUITION TALKS”

We use to gather in Groups at various set points and talk what happened in various Tuition Classes, and the topic were strictly non educational one 🙂 Ha Ha.

So this article’s whole and sole purpose was the reminder of one of the incident which was told to me to Ravi Kiran on an After Tuition Talk session.
He came to me in a very sad tone and said,
Dude, you wont believe what happened in today class!
To which I asked the obvious question, “What??”

And the reply was,

Today My Tuition Aunty was teaching me Mathematics. And her small baby pooped in front of us. Thus she took my Mathematics text book, tore a page and wiped the poop with it in front
of me. I was having no words to reply mate, Saraswati Mata used as Poop Wiper Page. That page was used like this, I mean useful Page, but used like this, Dude my Current Text book, Even my exams are not over for this subject.

Listing to his story I was thinking, may be we local people of ORDNANCE FACTORY (O.D.F) FRNDS Kendriya Vidyalaya, Eddumailaram, are going towards the progress and competing with world by using paper to wipe poop and That child is the first
suitable candidate to do that. Though we cannot go to any other county due to our poor score in Mathematics but I guess this child will do.
Ravi broke me out of my thinking and asked, Dude what Should I do??
To which I had no reply but we laughed out for the whole night imagining the situation again and again…

P.S. Ravi and I both made to Australia to pursue higher Education. And Please dont ask us we use water here or paper.
Good Day guys
Have a great week Ahead 😛

Untold Stories 40 : The Language Deaf

(Sorry guy, just working on some other projects and not able to come every Monday to post UTSP, but I will make sure every week this site is updated – Tapish Dongre)

This story is particularly told on various platforms of language and learning classes and I would tell you my version of it.

Once a lady of sub Asian region gets her first visa to go to Prestigious University of America. She gets her visa approved on a exceptional basis that she had the highest academic scores of her region. She topped in all subjects and thus wanted to discover what more she can do with the skills she has. Acceptance to a World renounced University for higher studies brings both joy and sadness in her family. Joy for the progress and sadness for the distance separating between her and her relatives. With full enthusiasm she boards the plane and lands in a new country. New country new rules, New way of living which she is ready to adapt. And this adoption goes on a faster level with new technology being already acquired theoretically in her primary education. After a month or two, the results of primary examination comes out. She scores the least marks of her class. Calculation, Science, History or Language, she looses her marks in all. As being an international student, her case is forwarded to Authorities concerning the academic growth. The panel of four members checks for her entry requirement in the class and is again astonished that even in subject like English, she scored 92 out of 100 which is a difficult score to gain. Without further delay the panel asks her first question, ” Our university comes form the top 100 universities of the world. We do our best to teach students the latest theoretical and practical guidance as best we could. But your scores seems dropping. Can we know do you have any problem that we can work out?”

To this the girl starts staring at the panel and gives no reply.

The panel asks again, “Dear let me re-frame, Can we help you by any other means that can boost up your marks? Is the teaching going well in your class”

The girl is again quite.

This time one member of the board gets quite grumpy and raises his voice and shouts, “Are you Deaf? Can you Hear What we are asking you?”

The girl is quite again and let me tell you form here, The girl was Deaf. Not Deaf by physical attributes but a “LANGUAGE DEAF”

She has learned English in her own Dialects and not by the way it is spoken in the university she is into. Yes it is true that English is the most spoken language throughout the globe but along the history English has developed numerous number of dialects separated by region or time. Thus Even after being academically having highest marks in region, she was practically deaf in all the classes of university as what ever the lecturer use to say in class was never being understood by the brain of this little girl.

This is a very old story and now various steps has been taken to irradiate this issue, but truly speaking the problem still persist. Very recently my co-worker and friend Bhavesh Patel told me another very funny incident what happened not too long ago in our working history. A Manager with primary English language decent gave instructions to her staff, the staff was language deaf and thus was not able to understand the instructions and thus did some work which was not suppose to be done. After finding out the mistake Manager came and inquired the staff the reason of the mistake and then the staff started explaining in her own accent what happened in the working arena. After the whole explanation Manager was still confused as she did not understand even a word coming out of staff. The co-worker of staff re-explained the matter to Manager and then she took over. After a while the co-worker asked the staff, what you told she didn’t understand at all. To which the staff replied,

Dekho Didi, Maine Jo Bolna tha maine Bold Dia, Ab Manager nahi samze wo unka Problem hai”  🙂 lol.

Translation : “Sister, I spoke what happened at the working site completely, she dint understand its not my problem, its her’s.”

The joke was funny for us as this was the first ever example where the Manager was Language Deaf, and most of the time the case is reverse. 🙂

Concluding this article, I can only advice, learn different accents, different dialects, try again and again to hear what other dialect person is speaking, as  in no time, human brain gets the rhythm and learns any language or dialect with repetitive practice. Speaking for Experience, as Even I was a Language Deaf 🙂

Happy Day Guys, Happy Week Ahead 🙂

Untold Stories 39: Resolution

In Micro-Biology we learned, Resolution is the ability to distinguish two points placed very closed to each other as separate. In other terms we clearly observe that two closest object when placed together though can look alike or same when watched with a distance and closer we move or with the help of right tools we can see they are either two different objects, matter or perception.

Let me give you a scenario: On a beautiful Sunday morning, You are on a Beach watching far off mountain with your naked eye, appreciating the view you wonder the colours brown and green on distinct mountains adds up to the view of the Blue Sea with the rise of sun. But when you take your binoculars and see that the green colours on mountain are not random colours but Tall Tree leaves which you just mistaken for simple greenery. When you use Telescope to see more clearly, now you are able to see that there are separate distant species of trees and the colour green differs in shades among the leaves of different flora present on mountain. Curiosity drags you to sail your mini boat and you reach the other shore just to see the mountains very closely. Now you witness different types of plants some grown to the height of below your knees and rest above your shoulders. Taking one leaf, you may observe the design and random lines drawn on leaves. If you had a microscope you would have observed that the leaf has various elements pores other features which were never possible to observe when you were standing at the other shore looking at mountain form a far off end. More technology applied and more and more Resolution can be available to observe, learn and witness the microbial change in front of your eyes.

The similar analogy can be treated when a person’s view point is considered. The more and more we understand the more are we able to differentiate between two points as distinct. Thus in a way Education is the tool which improves our resolution. In schools kids learn step by step various views, concepts, theories and thoughts that was yet studied or proposed. With my knowledge till date, I haven’t learned something which was never pre-existing. In other words, what my elders learned long years back when they were discovering those time, I am discovering them now. In the analogy comparison, trying new tools, sailing to the mountain to actually experience the plants. As my elders had theirs chance to try new tools, in future even I would be discovering something un-resolved. But the fact is to consider that acceptance of new concepts and theories requires time. The breakage of previews views to establish a new one.

I quote this example many times that in Class 3rd we learned Sun comes form the east and sets in west. And only after class 5th we were able to accept the concept that on a comparative relative scale, Sun doesn’t move east to west, actually earth rotates and we experience the moment of sun limited to our view point. I guess I am giving too much scientific info and I should limit myself in this article only about the Resolution. My point is there is an age to learn all concepts, if you teach violence, sex and politics to a 5 year old, either he will get it wrong or not understand at all. But with time and more eagerness to learn, the kid will grow into an responsible adult with might be more Resolution than we have with us now.

Thus with Time I have faith that we will learn more things. Some discovered by other people and some not discovered at all. And I just request the people who were still at the Beautiful Beach on a Sunday morning looking at the greenery of the mountain, Take your first binocular or start your sail.

Wishes for a wonderful week ahead

Happy Day 🙂

Untold Stories 38 : Inspiration Among Us

Usually we get inspired by watching a video presentation, movie, speech or reading media which mostly provides us with an example of a success story where one person or a group could achieve the impossible, people often use the phrase the word impossible can be spilt into I am Possible. Personally speaking in my teenage I use to watch several videos and in my college days which makes us to dream that I am going out to the world and I am built to follow my dreams, to follow my passion and make a meaningful change in the society. The most inspirational series I started in my teenage and I still follow is Naruto which kept in me the spirit plus fantasy alive, the can do attitude and will of fire. But when it came to real world, Fantasy shatters the moment we keep our feet on ground. Back in India My Vice Chancellor was the first to de-motivate me. I also rememberOmkar Vinchure was also challenged that he will never get a job after having B.Tech Degree, which he proved wrong, and now it was my turn. After coming to Australia, and learning cooperate demand supply rule, I was again little demotivated that I joined Biotech to make the high-tech resources available to common man, and was told by course coordinator that in-spite of several good people working for various cause, the high end companies work for money and thus small diseases like malaria and various small viruses are been preserved and modulated among the population so that the money cycle keeps flowing. After loosing the purpose of motivation that future will have more challenges sometimes my mind trends to give up thinking that all those motivation was for waste, wonderland only exist in fiction stories, and in real world, the powerful always wins, though right or wrong.
I cannot see future…and has very less idea about what’s going to happen next…thus I have a habit to look into past….
The story of one of my primary-school classmate, always motivates me. It made me believe that even at Real world though small but change is possible.
In Class IVth to IXth, we KV school pupils were told to read out a loud in front of whole class a para or two of the lesson we are learning that day. That was most fun part of learning for me that I use to wait for my chance to read and spread my loud voice throughout the class. In class Vth we had a new student named Nabhila Ambekar, when asked to read a para in English, she use to stuck at every three words, I remember everyone laughed at her and she dint even complete her para and sat down. We were eager to know more and waited for HINDI class and even in Hindi she use to stuck in reading every three to four words. Everyone laughed at her again. Initially she did not have much friends thus kept it to herself. I knew little late that she use to live just two houses next to mine and seldom use to play outside like we all children use to. Everyday we use to wait for her chance to read out a loud, once she miss pronounced the word “Cycorax” as “XEROX” and for that day me and my friends called Xerox as CYCORAX (form the famous Shakespeare Novel The Tempest, the person who looked like a fish)
Just after two weeks we were all astonished to see, the girl who use to stuck at reading every two to three words started reading both English and Hindi para fluently with proper pronunciation. Teachers were impressed with the change and Students had no point for Laughing.
This was the first time for me to watch peer pressure made a positive change. And I am sure the time we use to play outside and watch television, she must have used to practice and practice loud reading to gain her classmate’s respect and shut the laughing audience, which she did.
Unfortunately, due to my rude behaviour in past we might not be friends today but her behaviour towards learning will always be my motivation. In real life, practice and persistence can clear all the boundaries between you and your goal.
Thus Some day In future, I would be a Industrial Biotechnologist along with a Motivational Writer and You will be the person You want to be…
Because in Real life….. IT IS POSSIBLE… 🙂

Untold Stories 37: My First TV VIDEO GAME

We always analyse a story or a content message and keep on filtering its positive or negative ones. But there are many things I need to learn in Life or Sometimes though learned cannot be decided as Positive or negative. Neutral Zones are only temporary ones for me. Thus is the story of my First Video Game.
In my primary schooling I was not the one who play on grounds. I like indoor games the most. Chess, Carom, Table Tennis, Billiards and Cards were the games I use to spend most of my time with. The World of Indoor gaming was going to be revolutionist in some years that I was not aware of. But I only heard of some technology called TV-Video Gaming. And finally the destiny called, and on one of my mom’s relatives home we went, I saw the TV-Video Game for the first time. It was Dr Premchand Bhagwandas‘s son Ameet was playing in his room. I was amazed with the technology. With pressing some buttons on screen the character called “Mario” jumps on the screen and walks. I was more amazed when he showed me a the next game called “Duck Hunt” A laser Gun was to be pointed on TV and then when We shoot on the screen, the Duck actually gets the bullet and is dropped off flying, and if we miss, the Dog Jumps up the bush and Laughs on us. That was the first Electro Magnetic Artificial Intelligence Insult a 90’s Kid can receive.
I wanted to play both of the game, but Ameet dint not allow me to, may be the game was very expensive to touch that I will spoil by torching it, was convinced to me. I dint question anyone back as my logical brain might not have developed at that age. Only thing I could do was that I came home and kept on Crying. My father did not like it. He felt it so bad and though I did not ask but on his next trip to Bombay (MUMBAI was called Bombay at that time) he got a new Castes TV Video Game form me. The first Time my brain Accepted that the NEW TV VIDEO GAME belongs to me now. The ME, MINE and MYSELF concept got its grip. Just like Ameet did not allow me to touch his Video Game even I did not allow anyone to touch mine. The concept grew bigger and stronger as time passed. Form MY VIDEO GAME to MY CAR, MY HOUSE, MY LIFE.
The small little poor “OURS” was somewhere lost in time, I was reminded by Aniket Garg in class XII that I even scolded him for touching my pencil box when I did not know him. It was initially difficult for me be with friends in my College life where things were used as common in friends. On a recent discussion with Bharatlal Choudhary rhetorical questioned me “Its just like asking the Motor-Byck in Engg. college was yours or mine” pointing out that somewhere back in College days I re-believed that resources belong to US and not ME
Currently I try my best to keep things to OURS but the Roots of ME, MINE and MYSELF are so strong that I don’t really care if I hurt someone.
The story of MY TV VIDEO GAME was definitely MINE but I guess even YOU have experienced some thing which you HOLED ON as only YOURS.

Cheer to Personalization

Happy Week Ahead 🙂

Untold Stories 36: The Dis-Obedient Student

I had to wait for roughly more than 4 years to actually come out with this story. And At the end I would definitely love to share my journey. This post is not meant to defame anyone its just the story the way it happened.

In most of my post I will always ask people to find a good teacher so that you learn something new. Something different and something valuable to keep you marching forward. I told you to take their guidance, but I forgot to mention you the path of a disobedient student.
My father use to say there will be people in your life journey who might be rude to you, who might be not happy with your progress and who also would like to divert you form the path you mostly choose to become in your life. I personally like to be in a fairyland where everyone is good. Everyone is happy of whatever everyone is doing. But it was very late till I realize that fairyland is an Ideal situation, a theoretical concept and in real world even when you flip a coin, only the choosers of winning side of the coin be happy than the others. And though they choose heads or tails, they must learn to move on.
But this kid took a time to understand the difference between good and bad. It took me time as on my face, every other individual was happy, friendly and satisfied with my actions. But I was unaware of people who talk to you friendly and divert you form reaching to your goal. The momentary negative in them can hamper your whole life line. Thus it must be learned by everyone when not to follow your teacher. The key is simple when your mind stops working, Just follow YOUR HEART. People around you will be momentary unhappy but on the long run will respect you as a person.
In early 2011, I became the dis-obedient student for the first time. Dr. Manju Soni at Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering and Technology was the Head of Department of Biotechnology where I was perusing my Engineering Degree. After one of the student organised function of the department we were talking about the path to be taken in future after the degree. Everyone told her what they wanted to do. I remember Bharatlal Choudhary wanted to be a businessman after graduation. Akshay Korkalaiand Ankul Dogra wanted to use the degree and get a job. Gaurav Pendkeand Swati Gupta had their options open for Doing Masters. And I was the one who wanted to continue my journey with Biotechnology and Genetics as I planned in my class XIIth. After expression of my interest, Dr Manju Soni said, you must not waste your time in Biotechnology and its better you do a Personal Relations (PR) course. Then I replied to her, but I love Biotech, Even If I am not a scientist I would like to learn more and be industrialist, quality controller or just a writer to tell people the stories of Biotech Industries and industrialization. Who knows I might be story writer who uses the concepts of high end biotechnologies to publish some novels or paper articles. She replied, Biotechnology is not going to do any good to you. Better find a different path.
Many thoughts run in my mind at that point. I even thought that she being a Dr. of Microbiology and also Head of PIET Biotech Department would have more knowledge about the right decision for me. But my heart was unhappy with her words. Mostly I am first person to follow the teachers instructions, but this time I decided to Close my ears for a while. Lets not think what people what form me. Lets think about what I want form this life. Lets be selfish for a while. And just for the sake your own happiness FOLLOW YOUR HEART.
I tried to apply for CSIR to get into further research in Biotech but I failed. I applied to GATE for doing M.Tech but again I failed. My failures turned into frustration. I started avoiding my family, my friends and my so called life partner which I decided in early age. I kept myself isolated in room away form my family near Subhashnagar, Nagpur, INDIA. Somewhere inside me thought may be Dr Soni is right. And I should stop wasting my time. But then I met Shubham Deshmukh and Shubham Ballewar. Spending time with them and learning stories of their life made me more stronger. They were young teenagers who though financially or academically withhold to pursue further education but then they told me that they would try out different means. Ballawar said to me, Even If he dint get admission in Engg college, he would do Poli. and then go to Engg. second year. I learned form their simple style of living that nothing is stopping them form achieving their goals, what they dream of, then I am not that old who would stop my struggle then and there. I re-applied to all the exams again and also gave IELTS to try out different options to explore. The results came out; I failed CSIR by 2 marks and GATE by 1 but I cleared my IELTS and was then eligible to apply for Masters in Biotechnology not only in India but various countries abroad. I choose QUT, Brisbane Australia and transcended to other type of struggles. To meet new teachers and to be a DIS-OBEDIENT student again. Now I just know that even if people say that I cannot do any particular thing, I always have an option to close my ears and Follow my Heart. If I would have listened to Dr Manju Soni then I would never been able to reach this far. Thus I would like to say to myself, “ITS OK TO BE DIS-OBEDIENT STUDENT SOMETIMES”
And by doing this on 22nd July 2015 I would be awarded my Masters of Biotechnology form Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
I invite you all to watch my Convocation ceremony on-line live on 22nd July 2015, 6:30PM AEST (ie 2pm Indian Standard Time)
